God’s Simple Plan of Salvation 'Am I going to Heaven?' is a question that everyone needs to ask himself or herself. The gospel message is a simple message that God uses as the 'power of salvation' to all that would believe the gospel. Romans 1:16 'For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.' You can know right now whether or not you are going to enter Heaven because Salvation is a present possession received at the moment of trusting Jesus Christ as your Saviour and can never be lost or forfeited.
Here is what the Bible has to say about sinners and salvation: A. All men and women are sinners. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:10; Isaiah 64:6; Jeremiah 17:9; James 2:10) B. The penalty of sin is death. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Ezekiel 18:20) C. We must be perfect to enter heaven. Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. (Habakkuk 1:13; Psalm 5:4) D. We can do nothing of ourselves to obtain this perfection. Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Romans 4:5) E. God provided a sin-bearer and imputes to us His righteousness. II Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (Philippians 3:9; Isaiah 53:6; I Peter 3:18) F. We must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour for salvation. Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12; Acts 16:31) G. We can be certain of his salvation now, and that his salvation cannot be lost because eternal life is eternal. John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 6:37-39;47; 10:28; I Peter 1:5; Hebrews 10:10-14; I John 5:13)
Why not accept God's invitation to receive this wonderful 'gift of eternal life' right now? You do not receive eternal life by working for it or by trying to make yourself behave. You receive eternal life by believing the record God gave of His Son. Doesn't it make sense to believe the One who came back from the dead and trust Him for the payment of your sin? Why not do it now and you can be sure of going to Heaven when you die? He loves you. Right now, why not accept the payment He has made for your sins and you can KNOW that you have eternal life.
'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16).'
Friend, if you sincerely trust in Jesus Christ as your ONLY means of entrance to Heaven, on the authority of God's Word, you can KNOW that you have eternal life. 'These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13).'
